WHOLE BRAIN CHILD CARE

Going beyond Basic Care into Holistic Nurturing

Regular child care may only attend to your child’s basic needs. But at Stamford Education, we define care differently. Our holistic child care programme focuses on developing these five facets: Language, Numeracy, General Knowledge, Motor-skills, and Character Development, to groom your child into an all-rounded achiever.

Literacy

The Stamford English Curriculum is where our young students learn Standard English through role-plays, expressions, quality literature and more. Every child will learn language rules and sentence components through attractive characters, with accompanying songs and brain development games carefully crafted and implemented by our Stamford experienced trainers.

Motor Skills

At Stamford, we offer premier gym programmes for independent children, 18 months to 6 years old. Our Brain Gym programmes develop fine motor skills, speed, endurance, co-ordination and more. More importantly, we nurture within our students’ self-esteem, confidence, listening skills, problem-solving skills, teamwork and provide fun ways of channeling all that excess energy to reach developmental milestones.

Character Development

As part of our desire to instil good values and a deep sense of empathy for others within our students, we involve all our students in our Stamford Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Our students learn to express genuine care and concern for others through our engaging CSR activities.

As an award winning Whole Brain Training preschool, we take pride in the many young lives we have enriched through implementing our five facet system – breeding holistic excellence within every child. Our child care programme also utilises specialised methods and adopts an application-based approach to learning, ensuring that your child’s education goes beyond achieving success and into nurturing moral character and fine leadership skills.

Going Above and Beyond to Give Your Child an Edge

Regular preschools may focus their attention on care and basic education; and thus may not be able to provide sufficient preparation for your child’s next level of education. This is the preschool gap.

At Stamford Education, we designed the Whole Brain Training System with the desire to close the preschool gap; ensuring that your child is prepared above the Ministry of Education’s standardsand to equip them with skills in life to succeed.

Through our Whole Brain Training System, we ignite a passion and ability to achieve in every child. By placing an emphasis on providing the foundation for your child to do well in Primary One, your child would be able to achieve amazing academic feats such as: reading the Straits Times fluently, perform mental calculations, and even solve problem sums with models well before their peers are able to!

Such results lay claim to our recognition as the Market Leader in Whole Brain Training.

The Stamford Achievable Proficiency

Through our Whole Brain Training and Specialised Proprietary methods, our students have achieved amazing skills, such as to:

1) Enunciate fluent phonic sounds for all 26 letters of the alphabet through proper tongue placements
2) Perform Phonics Decoding for more than 1000 first words
3) Perform Sight Reading for more than 1000 commonly used words

The Struggle All Parents Face

In the progress of picking up their first words, what is the greatest struggle children face? Trying to stay focused. Further, parents are often at a loss of where to begin to develop their child’s literacy. Consequently, when left unarmed with the necessary words, children are rendered helpless when trying to express themselves as they possess neither the vocabulary, nor the ability to pronounce simple words.

The Solution:
Whole Brain Training at Stamford

With Stamford Education’s proprietary Whole Brain Training System (WBTS), a child’s ability to focus can be developed, and their ability to remember can also be enhanced. Stamford’s WBTS seeks to develop a child’s mind in its entirety, employing specialised methods to develop cognitive memory and function. By applying the WBTS method, we achieve great success when teaching children first words using A to Z phonic sounds as well as the blending of sounds together to derive common words.

First Seeds Literacy Programme

Each lesson of the First Seeds Programme aims to provide your child with the basic foundation to read more than 1000 first words through The Stamford Proprietary Zoophonics Method. In addition, by teaching them how to segment and blend sounds as part of The Stamford Proprietary Phonics Method, children will learn to decode words that are between 5 to 7 words long even at this young age.

By the end of the First Seeds Literacy Programme, your child would have taken his/her first steps to:

– Increase their ability to focus and enhance their memory (through The Stamford Proprietary Whole Brain Training System)
– Enunciate the alphabets A – Z phonetically through The Stamford Proprietary Tongue, Teeth and Lip Placement Method
– Perform phonetic decoding of up to 1000 first words
– Display the ability to segment and blend basic sounds through the Stamford Proprietary Phonics Method
– Develop the proficiency to perform sight reading of up to 1000 commonly used words through The Stamford Proprietary Sight Reading Method

The Struggle All Parents Face

Mathematics can be fun, yet parents constantly struggle to get their children to even concentrate at tasks at hand. The battle of teaching them to recognize numbers in sequence, let alone enjoy learning Mathematics or playing games involving puzzles and numbers, is thus often not even embarked on.

The Solution:
Stamford’s Whole Brain Training

With the Stamford Proprietary Numeracy and STEPS Methods, our children learn useful and applicable numeracy skills while developing their ability to focus and train their memory.
Employing puzzle solving games furthers their understanding of numbers, and how they relate to their own daily lives.

First Seeds Numeracy Programme
At the end of the programme, Stamford students will experience a remarkable growth in their foundational understanding and appreciation for Mathematics. As that development is witnessed, parents and children can witness the tangible benefits of planting the foundations of numeracy skills early.

The Struggle All Parents Face

Without a strong phonetic foundation cultivated since young, most children end up fumbling when tasked to read complete sentence. This is because without which, children are unable to sight read, sometimes not even the simpler words. This is a common phenomenon as parents, and by extension their children, are often overwhelm by the sheer complexity of phonics-related materials one can choose from in the market.

The Solution:
Whole Brain Training at Stamford

As part of Stamford’s efforts to enable children to read fluently with ease, we employ the Stamford Whole Brain Training System (WBTS) in all our lessons. Apart from utilising the WBT method to enhance your child’s focus and memory abilities, the WBT method also targets the whole brain to build on your child’s cognitive skills of speed and comprehension. In the classroom, we use the WBT method to teach our students A to Z phonetic sounds to be able to decode and retain words, and whole reading techniques to develop total literacy competence.

Grounded Roots Literacy Programme

Each lesson of the Grounded Roots Programme aims to provide your child with an intermediate foundation to be able to read and decode new unfamiliar words through The Stamford Proprietary Phonics Method, expand their vocabulary to 2000 words through The Stamford Proprietary High Frequency Words Reading Method, and read advanced passages in the Straits Times fluently through The Stamford Proprietary Whole Reading Method.
